The target audience for my
magazine varies from mixed gender teens, up to young adults to the age of 26, I
have chosen this age range because the magazine includes articles about the
latest music and includes various genre types that this target audience would
appeal to or be interested in. FLUX is aimed at ‘The Mainstream’ (young & Rubicams 4Cs model) also it is in the E category in the Demographics.
I have chosen a bright colour
pallet to attract the target audience, making sure that the Masthead and sub
title are the brightest colour, this draws in the target audience to look at
the magazine and catch their eye on a magazine rack.
I have used names of popular
artists on the cover to tempt the target audience to pick up the magazine and
buy it.
The image is the main piece on
the magazine; the shot type is a medium close up. It take up most of the room
on the cover, this implies that it is the most important thing on the cover. The
model is looking into the camera which establishes a direct connection between
the model and reader.
